The Radio Reading Service welcomes you ~

This radio station operates from Levin, New Zealand and is a not for profit social service broadcast.

Our job is to turn print into sound for anyone who can't see, hold or access everyday printed literature ....

We read the whole news....

Who cares ~ if one million kiwis can't read ?

we do  !

Radio Reading Services operate throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia.  Other new stations have been set up in England, Scotland,  France and Mongolia.

Helped and encouraged by our "RPH Australia" colleagues who pioneered "Radio For The Print Handicapped" the New Zealand station came to air on 9th May 1987.

At our Levin studios  we schedule 127 hours a week of readings from a wide variety of co operating publishers.

If you have any suggestions or comments about how we might help someone in your comunity please make contact with us.  We will consult and cooperate with anyone to expand the Radio Reading Service.

The not for profit charitable society NZ Radio For The Print Disabled Inc, which was set up in March 1985 continues to own and operate this radio broadcast for all Print Disabled New Zealanders.
